Introducing James Davison Hunter

The book I want to interact with on this blog is To Change the World: The Irony, Tragedy, and Possibility of Christianity in the Late Modern World by James Davison Hunter. Today I want to briefly introduce the author. Dr. Hunter is a devout Christian involved with the tight-knit Christian community in Charlottesville, VA, long-time Sociology Professor at the University of Virginia focusing on Religion and Culture, integral participant of the Trinity Forum in Northern Virginia (http://ttf.org ), and friend to such luminary Christian leaders as Os Guinness, Tim Keller, and Skip Ryan. His book is the ripened fruit of his long years of interaction with these friends while thinking about the important ideas he presents.
