Golden Opportunities is a partnership among McDonald’s restaurants, the Salvation Army, Cargill and Mentor Corps. Started only a year or so ago, this nine-month program pairs people coming out of homelessness, addiction and incarceration with people of faith who can support and counsel them. Program participants receive shelter, a job, intensive mentoring and Christian-based counseling.
